TATUM GETS FUN AT ANT’S ANTICS WITH STELLAR PERFORMANCE AGAINST WOLVES

Tatum gets fun at the player also known as “Ant” with a stellar performance as the Celtics pulled off a 107-105 win at TD Garden.

Furthermore, the All-Star forward dropped 26 points on 5-of-12 shooting aside from adding eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Moreover, Tatum refused to be carried away by the trash-talking of Edwards, his Team USA teammate at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“He (Edwards) talks a lot and he had a lot to sat this summer about the games we played against them last year and getting excited to plat against us this year,” Tatum said.

“So you enjoy playing against the other best playrs in the league. It’s always fun and competitive,” he added.

ANT’S TRASH-TALK STARTED AFTER WOLVES SPLIT SEASON-SERIES LAST YEAR

Ant’s trash-talking started last year when the Wolves managed to split their two regular-season meetings last year.

Moreover, the Wolves’ budding superstar shared his sentiments on Tatum with his teammates in the Netflix series “Starting 5.”

“Tatum was taking crazy, saying, ‘Yeah, I’m here.’ then I said, ‘I’m coming again.’,” Edwards said.

Furthermore, Tatum still had the last laugh after Sunday’s win, which stretched to 12-1 his head-to-head matchups against the Wolves.

“They’re (Wolves) a really good team, they’ve got some talent over there, so I’m certain for the near-future the ames against those guys will be really fun ones,” the Boston star said.

EDWARDS GOES OFF FOR 28 BUT NOT ENOUGH TO TOPPLE THE CHAMPS

Furthermore, Edwards went off for 28 points on 6-of-11 shooting on Sunday.

However, that wasn’t enough for him to topple the champs.

Moreover, Boston was the steadier team after Jaylen Brown led the way with 29 points, while Derrick White had 19.

Tatum and Edwards’ Team USA teammate Jrue Holiday had only nine points but that was enough for the Celtics.

Edwards fell short against the Dallas Mavericks in leading the Wolves to the NBA Finals.

But Ant may just get his next shot at Tatum and the Celtics down the road – when their paths cross in June, who knows?
