TEN HAG SAYS HE’S NO ‘HARRY POTTER’ AS HE VOWS TO BUILD ‘NEW’ UNITED

Furthermore, Ten Hag says he’s no “Harry Potter” as he vows to build a “new” United following the club’s 0-3 loss to Liverpool on Sunday.

Moreover, the United manager assured fans the team “will be fine” after absorbing a defeat so early into the new season.

“I explained this so many times. We will build it. We have young players and players to build in,” Ten Hag said.

“Today, we had three players who started for the first time this season. We will be fine,” he added.

Ten Hag acknowledged that Casemiro and new signee Manuel Ugarte are just some of the players he needs to integrate into the team.

UNITED MANAGER ADMITS BUILDING TEAM ‘WILL TAKE TIME’

Moreover, the United manager admits building the team along with the new signings “will take time.”

“It will take time, so it’s not like Harry Potter. That is what you have to acknowledge,” Ten Hag said.

“And if you see Manuel Ugarte, he hasn’t played so far this season. Not one match minute,” he added.

On the other hand, Ten Hag had to replace Casemiro at halftime of Sunday’s match after he committed two errors.

Casemiro’s mistakes led to goals for Liverpool’s Luis Diaz.

‘SUGGESTION’ FOR TEAM HAS MANAGER SNAPPING BACK

Furthermore, a suggestion for United’s situation has Ten Hag snapping back.

The defiant manager reacted when he was asked if his team continued to get punished for the same mistakes.

“Maybe you can explain to me which mistakes. You are sure? I don’t think so,” Ten Han snapped back.

“I think we won after (Manchester) City the most trophies in English football in the last two years, so I am sorry for you,” he added.

However, Ten Hag cited the need to stay humble despite seeing some positives within the team.

“There are (positives), but I don’t want to talk about this,” the manager said.

“It hurts, it hurts especially for our fans; we have to be humble and move on,” he added.
