TEN HAG SAYS VAR INTERVENTION ‘UNFAIR AND UNJUST’ THAT COST UNITED LOSS

Ten Hag says the VAR intervention was “unfair and unjust” at London Stadium on Sunday.

The VAR call came after United was penalized for a collision between Matthijs de Ligt and Danny Ings at the end of full-time.

Furthermore, VAR Michael Oliver required an on-field check that led to a penalty call.

Moreover, Ten Hag clarified that he didn’t question either Oliver or referee David Coote.

However, he questioned the process that led to the controversial VAR decision.

“I don’t criticize any personnel, but I criticize the process and… the off-field was obviously, the VAR was Michael Oliver, but also the on-field,” the United manager said.

“But then you have to show a big personality to recall this decision,” he added.

BOWEN’S HEROICS AS A RESULT OF PENALTY ENABLES HAMMERS TO WIN

Moreover, Jarrod Bowen’s heroics carried the Hammers to a critical victory.

Furthermore, reports suggested that the contact between de Ligt and Ings appeared slight.

“Today was clear and obvious and clear and obvious wasn’t how the VAR worked,” Ten Hag said.

“There was a wrong decision, and now they make again a wrong decision interfering, and both have a big impact on the scores of the games,” he added.

The loss sent United down to 14th place in the table.

UNITED MANAGER URGES TEAM TO ‘TURN THIS THING AROUND’ AMID STRUGGLES

Furthermore, the United manager urged his team to “turn this thing around.”

Moreover, United has only won three of their first nine matches in the Premier League this season.

“But in the end, we turned this around, and we are so determined it would be the same case today,” the United manager said.

“But we have to turn this around, and it will turn around if we keep playing like we are playing now,” he added.

United hopes to change their fortunes when they host Leicester City in the Carabao Cup round of 16 on Wednesday.
