English Premier League sides bring in multiple big deals during the summer transfer 2024
Moussa Diaby is the only name in the top 20 most expensive transfers who is not in the Euro’s top 5 leagues, as the right winger opted to make more money in the Far East.
The Frenchman stunned many fans with his shocking move. Diaby joined Aston Villa from Bayer Leverkusen last summer in a record deal worth nearly £52m. He scored 10 goals in 54 appearances across all competitions, helping Unai Emery’s side qualify for the Champions League. However, he finally chose Saudi Pro League football instead of the elite league of UEFA.
Meanwhile, Man United have chosen to strengthen their defense and attack line with the signings of Yoro, De Ligt and Zirkee, in a total fee of nearly 150m.
The London side, Tottenham Hotspur, paid hefty fees at the summer transfer window of 2024, bringing Solanke and Archie Gray to improve the squad. Spurs will play at the Europa League this season, in bid to end their trophy drought.

Atletico Madrid also stunned the market with the arrival of serial winner Julian Alvarez from Man City.
The Argentine forward has signed a six-year contract with the Spanish side. Atleti will pay an initial $82m (£64m) for Álvarez, with a further $22m (£17m) in potential add-ons.
In his two seasons with the English giant, the 24-year-old made 103 appearances in all competitions for the Citizens, scoring 36 goals and providing 18 assists.
Alvarez will wear the No. 19 shirt and will be managed by head coach Diego Simeone.
The club has already signed Norwegian forward Alexander Sørloth from Villarreal to bolster its attacking frontline to close the gap between league winner Real Madrid and runner-up Barca in the race.
