Cristiano Ronaldo has just broken the record of Iranian legend Ali Daei and became all time’s top international scorer with 111 goals.

This is only one of the records broken by the prolific Portuguese striker.

Let’s take a look of what Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved so far, what records were broken by him.

The Portuguese forward is just one game away from equalling Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas’ record of 177 Champions League appearances.

He is already the leading scorer in theย Champions Leagueย – finding the net a whopping 134 times – and has assisted a record 42 goals.

Ronaldo also has scored the most goals in the knockout stages – 67 – and his tally of 17 goals during the 2013-14 UCL is the most in a single season.

But his best Champions League record is his five final victories – the most by a player since the competition was rebranded in 1992.

Ronaldo is Portugal’s most capped international with 180 senior outings and no player has scored against more national sides – 45.

The Man Utd hero also holds the record for the most international hat-tricks – nine – and is the first footballer to have played in five Euros.

One of Ronaldo’s international hat-tricks came against Spain at the 2018 World Cup, making him the oldest player to achieve the feat.

And he is the only man to score in 12 consecutive international tournaments (World Cup, Euros, Confederations Cup and Nations League).

Ronaldo is the only player in history to score 50 or more goals in the Premier League, LaLiga and Serie A – and has lifted the title in each country.

And he was named the FWA, PFA, Young and Premier League Player of the Year in 2006-07 – the only footballer in history to achieve the feat.

Ronaldo was named in the 2021 Guinness World Book of records as the most liked person on Facebook, racking up 124,726,150 likes.

The forward is also the most followed person on Instagram, with more than 336MILLION accounts following his ‘Cristiano’ handle.

And he’s the most liked sportsperson on Twitter with 94m followers – just behind ex-US president Barack Obama.
