“But wow, just incredible. It felt good to get this first one out of the way and play well,” he added.

Furthermore, Thompson started at small forward for Dallas alongside the Doncic-Irving backcourt, as well as big men PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford.

The son of former Lakers role player Mychal Thompson enjoyed playing alongside Doncic, whom he described as “an incredible talent.”

“Luka makes the game easier, not just for myself, but everybody in this arena,” Thompson said.

Furthermore, Dondic finds it “easy” to play with his new teammates in also his Dallas opener this season after he skipped the pre-season.

“He (Thompson) was great man. Just knocking down a lot of shots and he was moving out there. He played great defense too,” Doncic said.

“It’s easy to pay with a guy like that. It makes your life easier. You got to find him,” he added.

Moreover, Doncic assisted on four of Thompson’s seven baskets to show early promise of a chemistry they share with Irving moving forward.

The Slovenian superstar described himself as “rusty” in his season debut despite finishing with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists.
