UEFA Champions League – Predictions

Tottenham Hotspur vs AC Milan (1st leg 0-1)

An early Brahim Diaz goal sealed a 1-0 win for the Rossoneri in the first leg last month, but this time they are facing a tough test a head in London.

Both clubs enter the midweek reunion on the back of lowly domestic defeats, Milan beaten by Fiorentina while Spurs suffered at Wolves’ Molineux.

Milan’s hope of retaining Serie A’s title seems to be too expensive, but their dream of progressing to latter stages of the UCL are alive, more than ever.

Spurs is going through another disastrous season, after bowing out competitions after competitions, first was the League Cup then the FA Cup, Conte’s side has not been performing well at the Premier League either. But the London-based club is looking to replicate the miraculous season of 2019, when they played in the very first UCL final ever, before eventually beaten by Liverpool.

Our prediction: Tottenham 1-1 AC Milan (1-2 on agg). Milan will enter the last eight after holding off the host.

Bayern Munich vs Paris Saint-Germain (1st leg 1-0)

Kingsley Coman scored against his former club in the first leg three weeks ago to give Bayern a close advantage ahead of the return leg at home.

This time, the German will be even stronger with the return of Sadio Mane, while PSG received tragic news of Neymar is now for the rest of the season with his ankle injury.

The burdens now lie on Lionel Messi who is only one goal away from record his 800th goal per club career (for PSG and Barcelona), and Kylian Mbappe, who just leveled Edinson Cavani on 200 goals for PSG heading into the contest.

With the axe hovering dangerously above his head, PSG boss Galtier surely knows what is coming if PSG are eliminated from the Champions League last 16 for the fifth time in seven seasons. Sadly, the capital giants have only progressed from one of their six Champions League knockout ties in which they have lost the first leg.

From the 12 previous meetings between two European giants, the German champions have six wins to their name, while the French champions have also racked up a half-dozen victories.

The coming game will prove to be an unlucky 13 for either PSG’s Galtier or Bayern’s Naggelsmann.

Our prediction: Bayern Munich 1-1 PSG (2-1 on agg). The Bavarian sides will, for once more, eliminate PSG to qualify for quarter-finals.
