Mir, 27, did not attend Valencia’s training session on the day of his arrest.

A Guardia Civil spokesperson confirmed that the authorities detained Mir regarding the alleged offense.

The woman alleges that she and her 21-year-old friend experienced sexual assault by Mir and another man at the footballer’s house.

EFE added that both women went to the hospital after the alleged assault.

The police continue to search for the second man.
