Varane ‘impatient’ to leave Real Madrid and join Man United
Raphael Varane is understood to be ‘impatient’ in securing a move to Manchester United this summer with an agreement with Real Madrid not yet reached.
It is no surprising to see how much Man United wanted Varane. The English club has been chasing the centre back since 2012. However, after seasons with different managers, Los Blancos has been holding so tight to their key player.
Varane is looking for new experience elsewhere
United have (again) made Varane their number one defensive target for this summer’s transfer window. They even started negotiations with Real Madrid over a deal for the France international.
The 28-year-old has entered the final year of his contract at the Bernabeu and is keen for a new challenge in the Premier League following a decade in Spain, with AS revealing the player’s eagerness for a deal to be reached.
Things are going quite well for Man United this time, it seems. The personal deal is said to have been done between Varane himself and Man United.
As much as he respects Real Madrid, the World Cup 2018 winner ‘can’t wait’ to see the agreement between the two clubs reached, is is said.
The value of this deal is around 50 million pound (60 mil euro). And Real must sell Varane right now, in order not to lose him for free at the end of this season.
Marca are reporting that neither club – or Varane – wants to delay the matter much longer, with Real accepting that a sale is ‘the best option’ as they bid to recoup vital funds for their own recruitment.
After almost 10 years playing for Real Madrid, Varane has won every possible trophy.
Among those, the most impressive achievements must be 3 consecutive Champions League’s trophies, which Varane was always the key player alongside Sergio Ramos.
