VARUN TO JOIN INDIA’S ODI SQUAD IN TIME FOR ENGLAND THREE-MATCH SERIES

Expect Varun to join India’s ODI (One Day International) squad in time for its three-match series against England starting on Thursday.

Furthermore, the 33-year-old bowler will join the squad to Nagpur, which will first the first ODI.

Moreover, it will be his first inclusion in the ODI squad.

Varun will boost India’s spin-attack and complement Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, and Washington Sundar.

India will play its first 50-over games in the ODIs against England since August last year.

T20I EXPLOITS GIVE KARNATAKA NATIVE DESERVING PLACE IN ODI SQUAD

Varun’s T20I (Twenty20 International) exploits recently gave him a deserving place in India’s ODI squad.

Moreover, the Karnataka native played a big role in India’s 4-1 victory over England in its five T20I Test series.

Furthermore, Varun took 14 wickets at an average of 9.86 with an economy of 7.66 in the T20I series.

His entry comes as specialist bowlers from India’s Champions Trophy 2025 squad are coming off injuries.

Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammad Shami, and Jasprit Bumrah are looking to make their comebacks once they recover from their injuries.

NAGPUR, CUTTACK, AHMEDABAD TO HOST INDIA-ENGLAND ODI SERIES

Furthermore, Nagpur, Cuttack, and Ahmedabad were picked to host this latest India-England ODI series.

Moreover, Nagpur will host the first Test on Thursday, followed by Cuttack on February 9, and Ahmedabad on February 12.

The team will use the series as preparation for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.

India will head to Dubai with the option of making last-minute changes from its squad with a February 11 deadline.
