WARRIORS TO MAXIMIZE ‘CURRY WINDOW’ AMID REPORTS TO ACQUIRE MARKKANEN

Believe in the Warriors to maximize the “Curry window” amid reports that Golden State plans to acquire Markkanen.

Furthermore, Golden State general manager Mike Dunleavy is committed to get the Warriors’ lineup better in the next two years.

Moreover, it may be from design that the contracts of Curry, Draymond Green, and coach Steve Kerr are now aligned for two more seasons.

This became possible after Kerr signed a contract extension in February.

Adding Markkanen during the “Curry window” could help the Warriors add another title for their All-Star guard.

“But to answer your question about capitalizing on Steph’s prime, yeah, we’re going after it,” Dunleavy said.

“In this league, you want to take advantage of these time horizons. With Steph and Draymond still at a really high level, that’s important,” he added.

UTAH, AINGE MIGHT ASK WARRIORS’ YOUNGSTERS AS COST TO DEAL MARKKANEN

Moreover, Utah and its shot-caller, Danny Ainge, reportedly may ask the Warriors’ promising youngsters a cost for them to deal Markkanen to the Warriors.

Yahoo! Sports reported that Ainge may want Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, and Brandin Podziemski, as well as draft picks to part ways with Markkanen.

Furthermore, Golden State prepared for the departure of Klay Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks by adding Buddy Hield, Kyle Anderson, and De’Antony Milton.

However, these players might not be enough for Dunleavy and the Warriors to part ways with their youngsters for Markkanen.

Dunleavy checks a lot of boxes should he get Markkanen to join the Warriors with his size and outside shooting.

DUNLEAVY INSISTS WARRIORS NOT DONE TO IMPROVE LINEUP, FIND PLAYER DEALS

Make no mistake – Dunleavy insisted the Warriors are not done to improve their lineup.

“You’re always looking around the league to get better, talking with teams, exploring stuff,” the Warriors executive said.

“I like our team, but there’s also some things that we can look at to improve it,” he added.

Moreover, the Warriors will continue to explore possible new deals leaving to training camp and into the season, Dunleavy assured.

With the likes of Kevin Durant, Paul George, and Pascal Siakam off the table, the Warriors continue to hope for a Markkanen deal.

Only time will tell if Dunleavy pulls the trigger and gives up their three youngsters to get the 27-year-old Markkanen or bust.
