Los Blancos fans can not wait until they see the official announcement on Mbappe. Not until that will the biggest transfer soap opera be put to bed for the last time.
Kylian Mbappe, who announced earlier this month that he would be leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season as a free agent, will finally join Real Madrid. Official confirmation of the move is pending.
Mbappe has been incredibly coy on his future over the last few weeks, but speaking to CNN (via Diario AS), he confirmed that the identity of his next club will be revealed very soon.
“It’ll all be revealed in a matter of days. I think it will be official soon and I just want to enjoy this time without a club. I have my contract with PSG, so someone is still paying me for the moment!”
The expectation is that Mbappe’s arrival will be announced in the days after Saturday’s Champions League final, which Real Madrid will contest against Borussia Dortmund. Until then, the topic does not attract much focus at the La Liga champions. However, it is good for them that the matter will be finalised before the Euro.
Mbappe had his chance to join Madrid in 2022, but he opted to extend the PSG contract. In the latest interview, the former Monaco striker revealed the reason on why he extended his contract at PSG in 2022 instead of joining Real Madrid:
“It was more than staying at PSG, it was a World Cup in Qatar… there were many things around these things”. “It was a big decision, a difficult decision but I don’t regret anything”.
Mbappe may join…AC Milan?
Surprisingly, the French talisman revealed that Serie A side AC Milan is his favourite. In the latest interview, Mbappe mentioned Rossoneri as one of his dream clubs:
Kylian Mbappé: “Italian football? You never know what happens”, told Sky. “I was always saying: if I will go to Italy one day, I will go to Milan”.
“As a kid, I was big fan of AC Milan and I always watch Serie A, every Milan game”. “All my family, massive Milan fan!”.
The skies are the limit, so Milan fans, dream big…
