ZII JIA, CHRISTIE BEAT FOES TO REACH KUMAMOTO MASTERS QUARTERFINALS
Zii Jia and Christie beat their respective foes to reach the Kumamoto Masters quarterfinals.
Furthermore, Zii Jia pulled off a 19-21, 21-8, 21-16 victory over Su Li-yang of Chinese Taipei to secure his place into the next round.

SINDHU EXITS AFTER LOSING TO CANADA’S LI
Moreover, Sindhu exited after she lost to Michelle Li of Canada, 21-17, 16-21 17-21.
Furthermore, India’s world No.20 could not sustain her opening set win and fell short in a neck-and-beck battle.
World No.23 Li emerged as the winner after one hour and 15 minutes after scoring the match’s last four points in the decider.
Sindhu fell in a maze of errors as Li took advantage at every turn.
The win sets up Li to a last eight matchup against Yu Jin Sim of South Korea.
JUN HAO JOINS ZII JIA IN NEXT ROUND
Furthermore, Leong Jun Hao joined Zii Jia into the next round by toppling world No.11 Koki Watanabe from the host country, 21-10, 16-21, 21-13.
Moreover, the world No.31 mustered the most of the 69-minute match to enable Malaysia send two shuttlers into the last eight.
Malaysia national singles coach K Yogendran expects Jun Hao to boost his confidence after the win.
“These two wins are big confidence boosters for Jun Hao. I hope he will be more mature on court and maintain his momentum,” Yogendran said.
Jun Hao nex faces Japan’s No.1 Kodai Naraoka for a place into the semifinal.
