Lionel Messi and Neymar have been targeted by PSG ultras as they protested in front of the club’s headquarters, slamming the star dou with harsh words.

What happened?
“Messi, son of a b****!”, “Neymar get lost” are the words chanted by PSG ultras outside the club’s office.
The Paris fans showed their frustration toward Messi, who has just been suspended for two weeks for an authorized trip to Saudi Arabia.
The French giants have been said to not extend the Argentine’s contract which expires at the end of the season, while Messi will be not interested in staying any longer.
Neymar was another target, as the fans are annoyed by his mammoth pay-check without major titles earned as the likes of Champions League seems to be out of reach for years.
The Brazil forward has not featured for PSG since February with this ankle injury and remains on the sidelines.
Paris Saint-Germain ultras have expressed their frustration at the current situation at the club and taken aim at superstars Lionel Messi and Neymar.
The two players were not the only ones to come under fire. Ultras also voiced their frustrations at the club’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
Star duo out?
Messi and Neymar were brought to PSG in a bid to win the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history but have failed to deliver Europe’s top trophy.
Heartbreak after heartbreak, Neymar once reached the final with PSG but defeated by Bayern Munich, while Messi could not help the club beat Real Madrid during last season’s round of 16.
The 2022/23 season has been a disaster for the capital club with the poor form, having been beaten six times in Ligue 1 and were knocked out of the French Cup by Marseille
What’s next
PSG is believed to have a change of plans in their transfer strategy, which will lean toward to promising youngsters, French talents rather than ‘Mercenaries’, like what the Ultras have been calling Messi and Neymar.
It will be no surprising to see both of them out of the club by the end of this season.
Messi’s case should be done in a matter of weeks, as the 2022 World Cup champion reportedly decided to leave the club over a month ago and has been in talks over a move to Saudi Arabia, or a dramatic return to Barcelona.
