Euro 2024 Highlights – Francisco Conceicao scored a late winner as Portugal beat Czech in a stunning comeback to make Cristiano Ronaldo’s last dance start with three points.

Roberto Martinez’s side are clear favorites for the Euro 2024 title, but they left it late to see off their opponents in the Group F clash in Leipzig.

Euro Highlights – Portugal 2-1 Czech Republic

Going against a squad packed with top players in every line, the Czech Republic had spent much of the game defending in their half.

Portugal struggled to turn good build-up play into chances, and goalkeeper Stanek dealt well with the few they managed.

Ronaldo, who made his record sixth Euro finals appearance, had the two best first-half chances but was denied both times by the Czech keeper.

However, the Euro 1996 finalist stunned the 2016 champions when Lukas Provod’s whipped second-half strike flew into the far corner.

But Ivan Hasek’s hopes of his side’s victory were dashed soon after. Goalkeeper Jindrich Stanek parried Nuno Mendes’ header, and the ball bounced off Robin Hranac and into the back of his own net.

Portugal showed determination to push for a win and fulfilled their mission late in the game.

Diogo Jota’s goal was ruled out for offside late on, but Portugal were celebrating in stoppage time when another youngster of the tournament, Conceicao, struck.

Conceitrao delivered the winning moment as the 21-year-old substitute slammed home from close range to clinch three points as Portugal grabbed the crucial win in Group F.
